Atlantic Canadian Adventure
A road trip to the Eastern part of Canada has been on my 'to do' list for a few years now - 2026 was the year! We decided to opt for direct flights in and out of Montreal from London - 7 hours out, 6 hours back, hardly long haul so very accessible. Our trip started with a stay in Montreal then picked a car up and over the next 2300 miles (!!!) we stayed in Charlevoix by the St Lawrence River, Amqui, Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island, Pictou & Summerville Centre on Nova Scotia, St Andrews by the sea in New Brunswick before heading up to Quebec. Montreal was a vibrant young city, whilst Quebec had a more historical feel to it. Wide quiet roads made for easy driving - with car ferries and huge bridges adding to the adventure - along with a giant lobster and a giant axe making for interesting photo opportunities. As we got to the easterly places on our trip lots of pretty towns and villages awaited us along with a stop in Halifax to visit all the Titanic graves. I say it all the time to my clients when doing these sort of trips - it will be something that you keeping thinking about now you are home - all the things you saw and did for a long time after you get home and that is me now...
I would love to help anyone planning or thinking about a trip to this part of the world - please contact me if you are.
