Beautiful Budapest

In September I travelled to Budapest for a long weekend with friends. I flew from Manchester with Jet2 early Friday morning and landed back late Monday night. It was a fabulous trip from start to finish and we managed to see so much of this beautiful city including bathing at the Szechenyi baths, Fisherman's Bastion, City park, Vardahunyad Castle, Parliament Building, Gellert Hill, Margaret Island, the Jewish Quarter. I stayed at a lovely boutique hotel on Vaci Street, the location was great, just one street back from the Danube and a couple of mins walk from the closest metro and tram stop. The highlights of my trip were taking the hot air balloon at sunset in City park, the evening river cruise down the Danube and sunrise from Gellert Hill. Budapest is easily explored by foot and the transport network, over 65's travel free on all public transport throughout the city you just have to have your passport with you. If you are there for 3 days I would recommend you purchase a 3 day pass from BudapestGo APP. If you have an questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
